The 31st Annual Old Town Chocolate Walk, hosted by the Cottonwood Old Town
Association (OTA), once again proved to be a well-loved holiday tradition, bringing together chocolate enthusiasts, local businesses, and the festive spirit of the season.
The sold-out event welcomed 400 ticket holders who strolled through Old Town Cottonwood, enjoying handcrafted chocolates, beautifully decorated storefronts, and the sounds of the season provided by the Mingus Union High School Choir’s charming Christmas carols.
This year, the Chocolate Walk featured incredible entries from talented local chefs. The winners of the
2024 chocolatier competition are:
- 1st Place: Merkin Vineyards - Chef Brian: Hand-painted Tiramisu Bon Bon
- 2nd Place: Four 8 Fried Chicken - Chef Smith: Shortbread Butter Toffee Milk Chocolate topped with a hint of Himalayan Salt
- 3rd Place: Bocce - Chef Geno: Mint Chocolate Cheesecake topped with Dried Cranberries & Pistachios
Congratulations are also in order for J&J Antiques which was voted People’s Choice Best Decorated Storefront, with its dazzling holiday display adding extra cheer to Old Town!
The Chocolate Walk also showcased the beautifully decorated streets of Old Town Cottonwood, creating a picturesque setting for this much-anticipated event. Santa was even spotted strolling through Old Town in the evening taking in the holiday cheer that was in abundance that day! The OTA extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this event such a success.
We hope to see many of you in Old Town Cottonwood all through the holiday season! Our charming Old Town district is home to a wide variety of unique shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, and more! Tickets for the Saturday Chocolate Walk
SATURDAY, December 7, 2024,
3 pm - 7 pm
Join us for a fun-filled day in Historic Old Town Cottonwood as we celebrate the 31st Annual Chocolate Walk! Old Town merchants, shops, tasting rooms and restaurants will be participating in this delicious “stroll” event, whereby lucky ticket holders taste handcrafted chocolates up and down historic Main Street in the Old Town district.
A delightful event where friends and neighbors come out to visit while meandering down Main Street to enjoy the unique hospitality that is “Old Town.”
Ticket/Bag pick up will be at the Civic Center (aka Cottonwood Community Club House) at 3pm. Tickets will not be mailed out.
The merriment begins with the 70th Annual Cottonwood Christmas Parade, set to begin at 11:00 am. After the parade, get a bite to eat or do a little Christmas shopping. We have a wide variety of unique shops, restaurants, tasting rooms and more!
Enjoy the Old Town Light Show accompanied with holiday music, beginning at 5:30 pm.
Make it an overnight trip! Stay the night at one of our lovely boutique hotels in Old Town Cottonwood.
Tickets will be available at 3pm, tickets not picked up by 6pm are subject to being resold without refund. Any requests for refunds must be received prior to Friday, December 1. After that date no refunds can be issued.
And don't forget...there's a VIP Chocolate and Wine Experience on Friday before the Chocolate Walk. Only 100 tickets will be sold, click for info.
